Kaduna’s Firebrand Pastor Dies in Crash Four Months After Being Warned to Pray Against Accidental Death
Rev. David Ayuba Azzaman, a well-known and outspoken pastor from Kaduna, has tragically died in a car accident four months after receiving a prophetic warning to pray against an accidental death. The pastor, who led The King Worship Chapel and Ministry, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025, while returning to Kaduna from Makurdi, Benue State.
Rev. Azzaman was widely respected for his fearless approach to ministry, particularly his bold online presence and spirited interfaith debates. He frequently addressed sensitive issues such as the persecution of Christians in Nigeria, kidnappings, and religious violence. His strong advocacy for victims and calls for increased media attention made him a prominent voice within the religious community.
Earlier this year, in a post dated January 29, 2025, Rev. Azzaman revealed that a fellow pastor had urged him to pray against death after seeing a vision of an accidental death that involved him. Despite his prayers and warnings, the tragic accident claimed his life months later.
Born and raised in northern Nigeria, Rev. Azzaman rose to prominence not only through his sermons but also through engaging theological debates with Muslim scholars and atheists, gaining a significant following among young Christians and religious scholars alike.
He is survived by his wife and children, who mourn the loss of a passionate leader and advocate for peace and justice. The news of his death has sparked widespread sorrow and reflection across Nigeria’s Christian communities.
