Kaduna Court Remands Man Over Alleged R@pe of 70-Year-Old Widow
A Kaduna State 2High Court in Kafanchan has ordered a local farmer, Timothy Ayock, to be remanded at a correctional facility over allegations of raping a 70-year-old widow.
Ayock faces two charges: rape and criminal force, under sections 257 and 237 of the Kaduna State Penalty Code Law, 2017.
State counsel Daniel Isah told the court that the alleged incident occurred on December 26, 2025, in Tagama community, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area. Ayock pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Presiding Judge Michael Eugene granted a request by the prosecution for more time to present evidence and ordered that Ayock be held at the Kafanchan correctional centre pending trial. The case has been adjourned to March 5 for hearing.
