The Central Bank of Nigeria has denied ordering deposit banks to collect old N500 and N1000 notes.
In a Press Release seen on its official twitter handle, the apex bank described the news as ‘fake’ and ‘unauthorized’.

It went further to advice members of the public to disregard any information not formally released by the apex bank.
