JUST IN: “Until the safety of every officer is ensured, we are declaring a strike” Bangladesh Police Association
The Bangladesh Police Association announced on Tuesday that its members would be going on strike. This declaration comes just a day after the protests they attempted to suppress led to the ousting of the prime minister.
The association, representing thousands of senior police officers, issued a statement emphasizing the need for security guarantees for all police personnel. “Until the security of every member of the police is secured, we are declaring a strike,” the statement read.
