JUST IN: Universities Set 150 as Minimum Cut-Off Mark for 2025/2026 Admissions
Universities across Nigeria have unanimously adopted 150 as the minimum cut-off mark for admission into the 2025/2026 academic session. The decision was reached during the ongoing policy meeting on admission, held in Abuja on Tuesday and chaired by the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Is-haq Oloyede.
In addition to the university cut-off mark, stakeholders also agreed on admission benchmarks for other tertiary institutions. The minimum entry point for polytechnics, colleges of education, and colleges of agriculture was set at 100, while colleges of nursing adopted 140 as their cut-off mark.
The meeting, which brought together key education stakeholders, aimed at harmonizing the national admission process and ensuring transparency and fairness across all institutions.
