The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has announced a drop in Nigeria’s headline inflation rate to 23.18% in February 2025, down from 24.48% recorded in January. This marks a 1.30 percentage point decline month-on-month, according to the agency’s latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) report released Monday.

While the figures are calculated using the revised base year of November 2009 = 100, the data signals a relative easing in inflationary pressure compared to previous months.
