JUST IN: Senate Passes North Central Development Commission (NCDC) Bill
The Senate has successfully passed the North Central Development Commission (NCDC) bill today, Thursday, July 4.
The bill’s passage followed the presentation of a comprehensive report by the Senate Committee on Special Duties, chaired by Senator Kaka Shehu.
The NCDC bill, initially proposed by Senator Abba Moro representing Benue South Senatorial District, received robust support and co-sponsorship from all senators representing the north-central region.
First introduced on October 5, 2023, the bill progressed through the legislative process, reaching its second reading on February 21, 2024, before today’s final approval.
