JUST IN: Former Konga CEO Nick Imudia Dies by Suicide
Nick Imudia, CEO of D.light, a pioneering company in residential solar energy solutions, has tragically died by suicide. Imudia, who was also the former Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian e-commerce giant Konga, took his own life in his Lekki, Lagos apartment on the night of Tuesday, June 25.
The incident occurred when Imudia jumped from the balcony of his apartment. Prior to his death, he made a call to his brother in the United States, giving instructions on the distribution of his wealth in case of his demise.
In a heartbreaking gesture, Imudia also contacted his young daughter from a previous relationship, assuring her that he would always be with her and that she only needed to look at the sky to feel his presence.
The news has left his friends, family, and colleagues in deep shock, as they struggle to understand the reasons behind his actions. Imudia, originally from Ika South local government area in Delta State, had a previous marriage that ended due to irreconcilable differences. His ex-wife is also from the same local government area.
