JUST IN: Fire Breaks Out at Rivers State Secretariat in Port Harcourt
A fire erupted on Monday at the Rivers State Government Secretariat complex in Port Harcourt, sending thick plumes of smoke into the air and causing panic among workers and residents nearby.
Footage shared by Pitakwa News on X (formerly Twitter) showed firefighters working urgently to contain the blaze as smoke spread across parts of the sprawling government facility.
As of press time, the cause of the fire had not been determined. Authorities have yet to issue an official statement, and details about the extent of the damage or possible casualties remain unclear.
