JUST IN: FG Announces Free Education, Monthly Stipends for Technical College Students
The Federal Government has declared a comprehensive free education package for students in both federal and state-owned technical colleges across the country.
Speaking at the launch of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme in Abuja on Friday, the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, announced that the initiative covers free tuition, accommodation, feeding, and a monthly stipend of N22,500 for each student.
Dr. Alausa stated that the goal of the programme is to attract more young Nigerians to technical and vocational education, equipping them with practical skills needed to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development.
