JUST IN: ECOWAS Defence Chiefs Convene in Abuja
The Chiefs of Defence Staff of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) have convened at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja for a critical meeting.
The session is chaired by Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, who also serves as the chairman of the ECOWAS Committee of Chiefs of Defence Staff.
In attendance are notable figures including Minister of Defence Mohammed Badaru, Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf Tuggar, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Defence Ahmed Lawan, Chairman of the House Committee on Defence, representatives of the National Security Adviser, and service chiefs. The meeting also features Chiefs of Defence Staff from ECOWAS member countries, with the exception of Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger.
