JUST IN: Deadly Bomb Blast Kills Four Travellers on Damboa-Maiduguri Road
A bomb explosion has killed four travellers along the Damboa-Maiduguri road in Borno State. The incident occurred around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, according to local media sources. The explosion involved a car carrying an unspecified number of passengers. In addition to the four fatalities, several others sustained varying degrees of injuries.
The Damboa-Maiduguri road, though officially closed to public use due to security concerns, is occasionally used by commuters under military escort. It has become a frequent target for insurgents, who are known to plant explosive devices in the area. Just weeks ago, a similar blast on the same road claimed the lives of seven individuals.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the total number of casualties or who may be responsible for the latest attack.
