JUST IN: Cubana Chief Priest Challenges EFCC Prosecution, Seeks Bail
Renowned nightlife entrepreneur and social media influencer, Cubana Chief Priest, has vehemently opposed the ongoing prosecution initiated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The high-profile personality, whose name is currently at the center of legal proceedings, voiced his objections through his legal representative, Chukosolo Ojukwu, during a court appearance on Wednesday.
The EFCC had arraigned Cubana Chief Priest on charges related to alleged financial misconduct, specifically concerning the misuse of Naira currency. However, in a bold move, Ojukwu informed the court that they had formally lodged an application contesting the legitimacy of the trial.
Furthermore, it has been disclosed that the defendant has concurrently submitted an application seeking bail, underscoring the seriousness with which he intends to contest the allegations leveled against him.
