JUST IN: Chris Ngige Arrested in Abuja, Confirms Former Aide
Chris Ngige, a past governor of Anambra State and Nigeria’s immediate former Minister of Labour and Employment, has been detained in Abuja by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The development was disclosed in a Wednesday night statement issued by his former media aide, Fred Chukwulobe, who clarified that online reports claiming Ngige had been kidnapped were false. According to him, Ngige is currently in EFCC custody, with further details expected soon.
The former minister recently made headlines after armed men attacked his convoy in Anambra State. Ngige was not inside the vehicle during the incident and was unharmed.
