JUST IN: Bandits Kidnap 30 Children in Katsina State
It’s been reported that at least thirty children have been abducted by suspected bandits from Kasai village in the Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State. Batsari, known as a Security Frontline Local Government Area, has witnessed a surge in banditry and criminal activities.
According to a resident who spoke with Channels Television, the abduction occurred in the early hours of Monday when the children ventured out to gather firewood for cooking. The assailants, believed to be bandits, intercepted them behind the village and took them captive.
As of now, government authorities and security agencies have not issued any official statements regarding the incident. The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, is yet to provide any response to inquiries.
Local residents express deep concern over the escalating insecurity in the region, hoping for swift action to restore peace and security.
