Iran accepts key nuclear condition, conflict nearing end — Trump

President Donald Trump has stated that Iran has agreed to one of the most difficult conditions in ongoing negotiations aimed at resolving the current conflict, suggesting that a settlement could be reached soon.

Speaking at a public event in Las Vegas, Trump said progress in talks was “going smoothly” and indicated that developments were now at a stage where a resolution may be close.

He referenced an agreement under which Iran would hand over enriched uranium and commit not to develop nuclear weapons for more than two decades. He described the transfer in broad terms, saying the material would be returned to US control.

According to Trump, the advancement in negotiations has raised expectations that the conflict could be brought to an end in the near term. He also pointed to the possibility of a US–Iran meeting taking place over the weekend, which he said would further shape the outcome.

At the White House, he reiterated that discussions were nearing completion, while noting that the situation would be closely monitored before any final agreement is confirmed.

Iran’s nuclear program has remained a central issue throughout the talks, including discussions held in Pakistan over the previous weekend. Trump said the process is approaching a decisive stage, but stopped short of declaring a final deal.
