“If Peter Obi doesn’t get ADC ticket and leaves, he is working for Tinubu” — Kenneth Okonkwo

Actor and lawyer Kenneth Okonkwo has said that any decision by Peter Obi to exit the African Democratic Congress (ADC) over failure to secure its presidential ticket would cast doubt on his political intentions ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television, Okonkwo addressed speculation about Obi’s possible departure from the party if he is not chosen as its flagbearer.

He argued that any presidential aspirant who leaves the ADC under such circumstances would appear politically inconsistent and weaken ongoing coalition efforts within the party.

Okonkwo further claimed that exiting the ADC at this stage would suggest alignment with the re-election bid of Bola Tinubu, insisting that loyalty to the coalition remains critical for anyone seeking to contest under its platform.
