A Nigerian woman, Ngozi Helen, has declared that she would not hesitate to divorce her husband if he refuses to let her bring her mother into their home for care.

Helen made the statement on Monday while reacting to a post shared by Ifeanyi Nwosu. The post contained a message from a man who complained that his wife had declined to look after his sick mother, insisting that he should instead take her to his elder sister’s house.

Responding, Helen wrote:

“If my husband refused me bringing my mother into our home to take care of her, on God I will divorce him without looking back!!!!”
