Idemili North Endorses Hon. Okonkwo Uchenna Harris for Second Term
Leaders and stakeholders from Idemili North gathered last Sunday to unanimously endorse Hon. Okonkwo Uchenna Harris for a second term as the representative of the Idemili North and South federal constituency in the Green Chamber.
Hon. Uche Harris Okonkwo, who had previously visited Idemili North to express his gratitude for their support following his election victory, was recognized for his exceptional performance and effective representation. The community leaders highlighted his integrity, vision, and dedication, which have significantly benefited the constituency.
The endorsement also reaffirmed the commitment to the existing zoning system, which alternates political representation between Idemili North and Idemili South. With Idemili North having previously held the position for eight years, it is now Idemili South’s turn for the next eight years.
The community expressed deep appreciation for Hon. Okonkwo’s steadfast commitment to representing Idemili in the Green Chamber. His advocacy on critical issues and efforts towards sustainability were particularly praised.
In a collective statement, the leaders advised any potential candidates from Idemili North against contesting the seat, emphasizing the unified support for Hon. Okonkwo. They also declared that no candidate from Idemili South running under a different party would receive their endorsement, pledging full support to Hon. Okonkwo’s completion of his eight-year term.
This decision aims to foster unity and progress in Idemili North and South, as well as in Anambra State and Nigeria at large.
Signed,
Hon. Kingsley Ubakamma
Secretary
