“I Wish You Well” – Tinubu Acknowledges Ngelale’s Exit
In a statement released on Saturday, President Bola Tinubu has officially acknowledged the departure of Chief Ajuri Ngelale, his spokesperson and Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, who is stepping down to address personal and medical matters.
Earlier that morning, Ngelale announced his decision to take an indefinite leave of absence due to health issues affecting his immediate family. He had submitted a formal memo to the Chief of Staff’s office regarding his departure.
The presidency confirmed Tinubu’s receipt of the memo, stating that the President fully understands and sympathizes with Ngelale’s circumstances. Tinubu expressed gratitude for Ngelale’s service, highlighting his dedication to national affairs and his contributions to climate action initiatives.
“The President wishes Chief Ngelale and his family strength and speedy recovery during this challenging time, and requests that their privacy be respected,” the statement read.
Tinubu further praised Ngelale’s efforts in advancing national discourse and extended his best wishes for future endeavors.
