I Will Drag You To Court If You Decline Ministerial Appointment, Lawyer Threatens Senator Umahi
An Abuja-based lawyer, Emmanuel Ekwe, has threatened to drag Senator David Umahi to court if he fails to accept a ministerial appointment under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
The lawyer said he would sue the senator representing Ebonyi South Senatorial District at the Federal High Court, Abuja, to seek an order compelling him to accept the ministerial appointment.
In a press statement made available to newsmen on Friday, Ekwe noted that Nigeria’s infrastructural deficit has risen to a crescendo, adding that he knows Umahi’s capacity and strategy for change.
Given his unbeatable track record, he said Umahi will perform optimally as a Minister of Power, Works, and Housing.
The lawyer said the achievements of Senator Umahi while he held sway as the governor of Ebonyi State had put him as the best man to compliment President Tinubu in the area of critical infrastructures.
Ekwe noted that Senator Umahi made notable impacts, especially in the area of infrastructure, and human capital development, among others in Ebonyi State, and added that Ebonyi State witnessed unprecedented transformation under Umahi’s administration.
