“I Remain in NDC, Ignore Misleading Reports From Desperate Opponents” — Eric Anyamene

Engr. Eric Nnamdi Anyamene (Ezenwa Obosi) has dismissed reports alleging that he has defected from the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), describing the claims as false and politically motivated.

In a statement issued through his media and support directorate, Anyamene urged the public to disregard what he called “misleading reports from desperate opponents,” insisting that his political commitment to the NDC remains unchanged.

> “I remain in NDC. Ignore misleading reports from desperate opponents,” he said.

The clarification follows online publications suggesting that the Idemili-based political figure had moved to the Accord Party. His support team, however, described the report as a fabrication aimed at undermining his growing political influence in Idemili North and South.

According to the statement, Anyamene has been consistent in his alignment with the NDC and was involved in early mobilisation efforts and broader coalition discussions within the party structure. It further noted that he has maintained active participation in grassroots political engagement under the party platform.

The media directorate also highlighted his community development initiatives through the ENAF platform, listing interventions in education support, infrastructure development, health outreach programmes, and empowerment schemes for traders, widows, and youths across Idemili communities.

The statement stressed that these activities reflect long-standing engagement with constituents beyond election cycles, adding that attempts to link him to political defection were deliberate distortions.

Reaffirming his position, Anyamene maintained that he remains focused on service delivery and grassroots development under the NDC platform.

The statement called on the public to disregard what it termed politically motivated misinformation and to remain focused on leadership grounded in performance and community impact ahead of the 2027 elections.
