I Don’t Want to Come to Heaven Without 1,000 Churches Built – Oyedepo
Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, has declared his commitment to building 1,000 churches before departing this world, describing it as a personal vow made to God early in his life. Speaking to his congregation, the influential cleric recounted his promise to participate in church-building even before opening his first bank account, saying he asked Jesus to enable him to support the construction of churches if ever blessed financially.
During the address, Oyedepo took aim at church members who he said fail to support ministry activities due to personal convenience. He criticised individuals who own vehicles but are unwilling to use them for church transportation on Sundays, often blaming the high cost of fuel. He pointedly remarked that if church service truly matters to them, such sacrifices should be made regardless of expenses.
In a characteristically passionate tone, he urged worshippers to reflect their faith through action, warning that people’s priorities are often exposed by what they choose to support. “Everybody is a reflection of where he belongs,” he said, calling on the congregation to “wake up” and take ownership of their commitment to church growth and service.
