“I Don’t Think We Went to the Moon” — Kim Kardashian Insists Apollo 11 Landing Was Faked
Kim Kardashian has sparked fresh controversy after claiming the 1969 moon landing never actually happened.
In the latest episode of The Kardashians, the 45-year-old reality TV star and entrepreneur tried to convince actress Sarah Paulson that NASA’s historic Apollo 11 mission was staged. Kardashian said she had “evidence,” pointing to clips of astronaut Buzz Aldrin that she claimed supported her theory.
“I’m sending you so far a million interviews with both Buzz Aldrin and… the other one,” she said, referring to Neil Armstrong. “This girl asks, ‘What was the scariest moment?’ and [Aldrin] goes, ‘There was no scary moment, cause it didn’t happen.’”
Paulson, amused by the conversation, urged Kardashian to “do it,” as the SKIMS founder doubled down, saying Aldrin had “gotten old” and started to “slip up.” Kardashian then concluded, “So I think it didn’t happen.”
In her confessional, she reiterated her disbelief: “I don’t think we did. I think it was fake. I’ve seen a few videos of Buzz Aldrin talking about how it didn’t happen. He says it all the time now.”
Scrolling through her phone, Kardashian cited common online conspiracy talking points, questioning why the flag appeared to move, why moon boots in museums look different from those in NASA photos, and why there are no stars visible in the footage. When asked what she would say to people calling her crazy, she replied, “They’re gonna say I’m crazy no matter what. But like… go to TikTok. See for yourself.”
In reality, Buzz Aldrin has never claimed the moon landing was faked. The 95-year-old astronaut’s so-called “slip-ups” were quotes taken out of context, including a 2015 interview in which he simply said a “scary moment didn’t happen.”
Aldrin and Neil Armstrong became the first humans to walk on the moon on July 20, 1969 — a milestone Aldrin continues to celebrate as “an achievement born of teamwork and effort.”
