“I Do Not Own a TikTok Account” — Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Denies Viral Video with Tinubu’s ‘Omo Ologo’ Soundtrack

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central in the National Assembly, has denied ownership of a viral TikTok video that shows her in a light-hearted moment set to the tune of “Omo Ologo,” a song linked to President Bola Tinubu.

In a post on her verified X account, Akpoti-Uduaghan clarified that she does not operate a TikTok account and distanced herself from the content. She stated that the video, which has been widely circulated online, was manipulated from an old 2023 clip and shared with misleading intent.

“I do not own a TikTok account,” the senator wrote, noting that several parody accounts exist under her name across various platforms including X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, some with substantial followings.

She emphasized that while she maintains respect for President Tinubu, the viral post was a fabrication. “I’d urge everyone to disregard the mischievous post made using an old 2023 video of mine,” she added.

The clip in question features the song “Omo Ologo,” performed earlier this month at a Katsina dinner event attended by President Tinubu. The track, popularized by Dauda Kahutu Rarara, praises the president as a triumphant figure over his critics.

Despite the video’s widespread circulation, it sparked skepticism online, leading to Akpoti-Uduaghan’s public disclaimer.

The development comes amid ongoing political turbulence surrounding the senator, who was recently suspended from the Senate following a clash with Senate President Godswill Akpabio. The situation escalated after Akpoti-Uduaghan posted a sarcastic apology to Akpabio on Facebook, prompting his legal team to seek a court order demanding the post’s removal.

Her legal representatives have challenged the motion, describing it as an effort to stifle her voice. The case is set for a court ruling on May 12. The senator’s suspension was preceded by a heated exchange in the Senate chamber and accusations of sexual harassment she leveled against Akpabio.
