The Former State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party PDP Lagos State Chapter and the Leader of the Unity Freedom Group of the party in the state, Engr Adedeji Doherty has expressed his happiness at the manifestation of some of the legacies his administration as the State Chairman put in place.
He noted that his administration was always strongly supportive of Youths Empowerment, Women Empowerment and Recognition of Non-Indigenes within the party.
In an interview at his Ikeja office, Engr Doherty was visibly happy that at the last State Congress not less than Six Non-Indigenes were elected into the new executive committee of the party in the state.
His administration had always frowned at the maligning of Non-Indigenes in the party across the state.
Engr Adedeji Doherty’s happiness could not be unrelated with the recent thank you message sent to elders and leaders of the party in the state by members of the All Non-Indigenes Association in the party in the state.
Hon Morgan Chukwuonwe, the General Secretary of the All Non-Indigene Association in PDP in Lagos State only recently sent a thank you message to the elders and leaders of the party in the state, for what he described as “the very first time since the beginning of this party, that we will have these number of Non-Indigene members in the Lagos State Exco of the party.”
He mentioned that Six(6) of their members Chief (Mrs) Kate Onyechere, Chief (Dr) Emilia Ezeude, Hon Morgan Chukwuonwe, Marshal Udo, Chief Ofili Odili and Maude Auwal J. were elected into the State Exco.
Engr Doherty pointed out that he is happy at the manifestation of some of the things his administration stood for.
He however prayed that all the foundation laid by his administration would be correctly and solidly built upon.
He congratulated all the elected Non-Indigenes and advised that this manifestation should spur them into the mobilisation of more persons into the party from communities where the Non-Indigenes are settled in the state.
He further advised that the incoming executive committee should build on the laudable Legacies of his administration.
