Hunters Raid Kidnappers’ Hideout in Kogi, Kill Bandits, Rescue Abductees
In a daring raid, local hunters in Kogi State have successfully liberated three abducted individuals from a kidnappers’ den located in Yagba West Local Government Area. The operation, fueled by actionable intelligence, saw the hunters engage in a fierce confrontation with the criminals, resulting in the elimination of several bandits, while others managed to flee with gunshot wounds.
Speaking to the press at Odo Ere, the headquarters of Yagba West LGA, Kingsley Fanwo, the State Commissioner for Information and Communications, highlighted Governor Usman Ododo’s unwavering commitment to eradicating criminal activities across Kogi State. Fanwo commended the hunters for their bravery and pledged continued support from the State Government.
Governor Ododo recently bolstered local security efforts by equipping and empowering these hunters with necessary resources to safeguard communities. This initiative has already shown promising results under the state’s robust security architecture.
Tosin Olokun, the Transition Committee Chairman of Yagba West, acknowledged the pivotal role of credible intelligence in the operation’s success. He thanked Governor Ododo for his proactive measures in ensuring the safety of residents, particularly in Yagba West.
The rescued victims expressed gratitude to the local government chairman and Governor Ododo for prioritizing security and swiftly responding to their plight.
