How Adekunle Ajasin University Student Killed Classmate Over iPhone
A 300-level student at Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba Akoko (AAUA), Ifeoluwa Adekunle, lost her life in a gruesome attack over an iPhone. The tragic event happened on Saturday, February 3, when Adekunle’s lifeless body was discovered in her off-campus room, drenched in blood.
The Ondo State Police Command, led by Commissioner Abayomi Oladipo, addressed the media on Tuesday, revealing that the prime suspect in the case is Olubodun Sanni, a 21-year-old final year student and neighbor of the deceased. According to the police, Sanni allegedly gained entry to Adekunle’s room with the intention of stealing her iPhone, ultimately resorting to a fatal stabbing.
Commissioner Oladipo disclosed, “The police, through the use of modern technology, traced the phone to Olubodun Sanni, a final year student at the same school who is also a neighbor of the deceased in the hostel.” The recovered iPhone XR played a crucial role in connecting the suspect to the crime.
Further investigation into the horrifying incident is underway, and the police assure that Sanni will face charges related to the murder of Ifeoluwa Adekunle.
