Have you noticed the recent trend on social media in Nigeria? The Stingy Men Association of Nigeria, SMAN, has taken the baton handed by Falz’s ‘Sweet Boys Association’ and it’s flying the flag high and proud.
With their motto: ‘I Will See What I Can Do’, men across the country are publicly and shamelessly announcing the fact that they will not be spending their money ‘any how’ henceforth and their female counterparts should beware!
This is no joke as we even hear these men have formed a WhatsApp group to ensure their fellow men do not fall victim to the heartless billings and expectations of women in Nigeria.
HOW IT ALL BEGAN
Over the weekend, the story of a guy who gave a babe N2,000 after she spent a whole week in his house became a trending topic on social media.
Many supported the man’s action saying the girl ate and drank while she was at his place and he owed her nothing when she was ready to leave. Also, no amount of money was agreed upon during her stay so how was he to know how much to give her?
As expected, several other tweeps blamed the man’s actions on the stinginess of Nigerian men saying N2,000 was not even the barest minimum for the supposed services a girl who spends a week in a man’s house would perform.
On Monday, the 11th of Jan 2021, the SMAN became a trending topic ensuing reactions from Nigerians on social media.
