Guardiola’s Wife Finally Breaks Silence on Divorce After 30 Years Together
Cristina Serra, the wife of Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, has spoken publicly for the first time since news of their split emerged. Despite ending their 30-year relationship, Serra has assured that she is “feeling great.”
The Brazilian was seen shopping alone in Barcelona, just a week after reports of their separation became public. When approached by a Spanish reporter in the city centre, she smiled and responded, “Perfecta, gracias” (“Perfect, thanks”) when asked how she was doing. She further reassured, “Everything’s fine,” but remained silent when questioned about the reason behind their breakup.
Speculation suggests that Guardiola’s decision to remain in Manchester and sign a two-year contract extension with the club may have contributed to the separation. However, sources close to the couple insist that their split was not due to a third party.
Guardiola and Serra, who met in 1994 and married in 2014, are believed to still share a cordial and affectionate relationship despite the end of their marriage.
