In a heartening development, Governor Alex Otti of Abia State received three siblings, Gideon, Divine, and Israel, who were recently rescued after being abducted from their home in Ama Ime, Ikwuano Local Government Area. The children, abducted on May 10, 2024, were found in operations spanning Anambra and Delta states, coordinated by security agencies under the Abia State government’s auspices.

Expressing gratitude for their safe return, he emphasized the importance of vigilance in safeguarding children and cautioned parents against being careless about their whereabouts.

Governor Otti commended the security operatives involved in the rescue mission and urged them to ensure that all perpetrators involved in the abduction face justice. He underscored the government’s commitment to supporting the rescued children as they reintegrate into their lives.

Highlighting ongoing efforts to bolster security across Abia State, Otti reaffirmed his dedication to maintaining a robust security architecture aimed at enhancing economic activities. He issued a stern warning to criminals, asserting, “It is the evil ones who will flee, not us. This state cannot accommodate both them and us; someone must retreat.”
