“Get Pregnant in Our Hotels and Receive Rewards,” Says Polish Hotel Group
Poland’s falling birth rate has prompted a hotel chain to launch an unusual incentive: rewards for couples who conceive while staying at its properties.
The Arche Group, which operates 23 hotels across the country, recently unveiled the Arche Generations programme aimed at encouraging population growth. The company highlights Poland’s demographic crisis, with births steadily declining for the past 12 years.
As part of the initiative, couples who can prove that their child was conceived during a hotel stay will receive perks such as free special events, including baptisms. In addition, parents who purchase a home with the group are eligible for a cash bonus of 10,000 zlotys (about $2,754) per child.
The programme applies only to heterosexual couples, where at least one partner is an adult Polish citizen residing in the country. Arche employees will also be offered bonuses for having children.
Poland’s population has been shrinking in recent years. According to the national statistics office GUS, the country counted 37.4 million inhabitants in mid-2025 — down by one million compared to 2015. In 2024 alone, deaths outnumbered births by 157,000, a gap experts warn is likely to widen.
