Gas Explosion again in Lagos, 4 killed, several others injured
Five persons have been reported to have died, while several other persons are injured in a gas explosion that occurred this morning at 31, Ojekunle Street, Papa Ajao, Mushin, Lagos.
Officials of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service are currently at the scene of the explosion.
The director of Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Mrs Margaret Adeseye said the incident was reported at 08:42 am via the State emergency reporting platform and response was immediate.
Adeseye said it was discovered that the incident happened in an open space that accommodates several business activities including a beer parlour, mechanic workshop, spare parts sale and a gas shop amongst others makeshift structures.
She however said preliminary investigations are on going to establish the actual cause of the incident, assuring that revelations will be made public.
