Ganduje Suspension: Kano Court Order Unenforceable, Says APC
The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared the ex parte order from a Kano State High Court, which affirmed the suspension of the party’s national chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as unenforceable.
During a solidarity visit to Ganduje’s office at APC headquarters in Abuja on April 17, the Ganduje ward executive expressed their support for the chairman, passing a vote of confidence in his favor.
The party’s national legal adviser, Prof. Abdulkarim Kana, told reporters that the order is not enforceable and was obtained under fraudulent circumstances. Kana added that the ward executives would petition the National Judicial Council (NJC) to address the actions of the high court judge.
APC maintains that the order restraining Ganduje from presenting himself as party chairman is null and void. Ganduje himself has dismissed the order, asserting that those who claimed to have suspended him were impostors.
