Ganduje Speaks on Alleged Plans to Dump APC for ADC
Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has denied reports that he is planning to defect to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Speaking through his spokesman, Edwin Olofu, Ganduje dismissed the speculation as fake news, stressing that he remains committed to the APC and loyal to President Bola Tinubu.
The former Kano State governor, who assumed office as APC National Chairman on August 3, 2023, resigned from the position on June 27, citing health concerns. His resignation sparked speculation that he and his supporters were preparing to leave the ruling party for the ADC.
Olofu, however, told journalists on Saturday that Ganduje had no such plans. “Ganduje is a committed member of the APC who is not just a loyal party man but also loyal to the President and his Renewed Hope Agenda. So, ignore those saying he is planning to leave the APC. It is just fake news,” he said.
