Full List: Tinubu Appoints CAC Chairman, Nominates Seven NPC Commissioners

 

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Ibrahim Ida as Chairman of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and nominated seven individuals to fill vacant commissioner positions at the National Population Commission (NPC).

 

Ida, who previously represented Katsina Central in the Senate, holds a master’s degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Ibadan and a law degree from the University of Abuja. His public service record includes roles as Katsina State Commissioner of Finance and Permanent Secretary in the Federal Civil Service.

 

The president also forwarded the names of seven nominees for NPC commissioner roles, pending confirmation by the National Assembly. They are Kolawole Oladipupo Alabi (Ekiti), Nasiru Mu’azu (Zamfara), Usman Tuggar (Bauchi), Isaka Yahaya (Kwara), Sadiq Isah Radda (Katsina), Suleiman Umar (Jigawa), and Chiso Dattijo (Sokoto).

 

In a separate appointment, Tinubu named Yusuf Mohammed as Chairman of the Federal Polytechnic Kaltungo.

 

The president also appointed Bala Bello as Special Adviser on Political Economy. Bello, a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, holds degrees in accounting and business administration from Ahmadu Bello University. He previously served as Executive Director of Corporate Services at the Nigerian Export-Import Bank between 2017 and 2022.

 

According to a statement issued by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, the appointments reflect the administration’s focus on strengthening governance and advancing economic management.
