FULL LIST: South West Bags Most Strategic Roles as Tinubu’s Appointment List Reveals Uneven Spread Across Zones

 

The Presidency has released a comprehensive list of President Bola Tinubu’s appointments to date, responding to mounting concerns over alleged regional imbalance. The list, made public by Sunday Dare, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, reveals a significant tilt in favor of the South West, which holds the highest number of strategic and high-profile roles—far more than any other region.

 

One notable omission from the list is Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President, who was among Tinubu’s first appointees in June 2023. Despite occupying one of the most powerful offices in the administration, his name was excluded from the official list.

 

By contrast, the South East trails in both the number and influence of appointments, while the North West, North Central, North East, and South South follow in descending order based on strategic relevance.
