Full List: JAMB Delists 23 CBT Centres in 11 States Over 2026 Mock UTME Disruptions
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has published a list of 23 computer-based test (CBT) centres delisted following disruptions recorded during the 2026 mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The decision follows incidents on March 27, when candidates in several parts of the country were unable to take the mock examination due to technical failures. In many centres, the exercise did not begin hours after the scheduled time, leaving candidates stranded and prompting widespread reactions online.
JAMB had initially announced the delisting of 20 centres after releasing mock UTME results on March 31. In an updated statement issued on Friday, the board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, confirmed that the number has increased to 23, covering 11 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
He said the affected centres were removed over technical inefficiencies identified during the examination, adding that 88 other centres received warnings for minor issues. One centre, he noted, has been barred from participating in any future JAMB examinations.
Benjamin explained that the mock UTME is designed to help candidates familiarise themselves with the CBT format while also allowing the board to evaluate its operational readiness. According to him, findings from the exercise revealed that some centres failed to meet required standards, prompting corrective action.
He added that the board is taking steps to ensure that only centres that meet its technical and operational requirements are allowed to participate in the main UTME.
The delisted centres are spread across Abia, Anambra, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, the Federal Capital Territory, Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Oyo, and Plateau states.
In Abia, Micben ICT Hall at Seat of Wisdom Academy, Ukwa West, was affected.
Anambra has two centres: Bishop Crowther Seminary CBT Centre in Awka and The Oracle Lens at Ubili Town Hall, Nnokwa.
Bayelsa recorded one centre, Derby’s Young ICT Centre in Yenagoa.
Delta has three centres: Avid ICT Solutions in Asaba, Brightfield School CBT in Ekpan, and Conarina Maritime Academy in Abraka.
Edo also has two centres, including Daniet Global Resources in Benin City and Moses and Grace College of Health Sciences and Technology CBT Centre.
In the Federal Capital Territory, the affected centres are De-Lite CBT Centre in Maitama, Abuja, and Zulqud Consult Ltd CBT Centre in Lugbe.
Lagos accounts for five centres: Florin High School in Ejigbo, Folbob CBT Centre in Ibeju-Lekki, Great Kezino College CBT Centre and Obans CBT Centre in Ikorodu, and Teesas Learning and CBT Centre along Lekki-Epe Expressway.
Ogun has two centres: Braingate Model Schools in Arepo-Fadunsin and Greenhills Academy in Itele.
Osun has one centre, Oduduwa University CBT Centre in Ipetumodu.
Oyo recorded three centres: Lasting Glory Schools CBT Centre in Ibadan, Nesam International School CBT Centre in Apata, and SAF Polytechnic in Iseyin.
Plateau has one centre, Rabjib Computer Academy in Jos.
JAMB said the review forms part of measures to strengthen the conduct of its examinations and prevent a repeat of the disruptions recorded during the mock exercise.
