Fuel Price Hike Hits NNPCL Stations Nationwide
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has increased the pump price of premium motor spirit (petrol) across its retail stations. In Abuja, NNPCL outlets have adjusted their price from N890 to N955 per litre. The price hike has been observed at various locations, including stations along the Kubwa Expressway and in Wuse, as well as in other parts of the Federal Capital Territory.
The new pricing is also being implemented at NNPCL outlets in Kogi and Nasarawa states. The N65 increase comes shortly after independent marketers in Abuja raised their own pump prices over the weekend to between N950 and N971 per litre. That move was driven by a recent adjustment in the ex-depot price by Dangote Refinery, which raised its rate from N820 to N858 per litre.
