Fresh Attack in Plateau State: Gunmen Kill Three, Including University Student
In a tragic incident on Thursday night, three individuals, including a Bokkos University student, lost their lives in an attack on Butura community in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The attack began around 9 p.m. when gunmen stormed the community and started shooting. Among the victims was a 200-level Computer Science student. The news was confirmed by a fellow student, George Lazarus.
The violent incident sparked protests from university students, but they were dispersed by personnel from Operation Safe Haven who were maintaining peace in the area.
Major Samson Zhakom, the spokesperson for Operation Safe Haven, stated that he was unaware of the attack but would verify the information and report back to the press. At the time of reporting, he had not yet provided any updates.
This fresh attack follows a similar incident last Sunday in which three people were killed in separate attacks on communities in Mangu and Bokkos LGAs.
