Former Finance Minister Dies at 90

The late Dr. Soleye, a former Finance Minister appointed during General Muhammadu Buhari’s military regime, served the nation for twenty months in this capacity. His extensive public service also included roles as a Commissioner for Finance and Industry in Ogun State, as well as a position on the board of the Obasanjo Presidential Library.

The family’s official statement expressed gratitude for a life marked by impact and positive events, noting Dr. Soleye’s roles as an Associate Professor at the University of Ibadan and Commissioner for Works in Ogun State.
