FIFA has suspended two additional football federations ahead of the 2026 World Cup, bringing the total number of banned nations to three. The latest suspensions come alongside an ongoing ban, further limiting participation in the tournament set to take place in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

With the World Cup returning in 2026, defending champions will aim to retain their title, while other top teams—including recent European champions and a newly coached contender—will look to challenge for football’s most prestigious prize.
