Dunamis Church Pastor Killed in Car Crash While Fleeing Bandits in Makurdi
A Dunamis Church pastor, Francis Aduh Ojo, died Thursday in a car accident while attempting to escape an encounter with armed bandits.
The incident occurred as Pastor Ojo was returning from a crusade in Makurdi. His nephew, Abuja Richard Enemona, confirmed the death in a Facebook post on Friday.
According to Enemona, Pastor Ojo encountered the bandits during their operation and tried to flee but lost control of his vehicle, resulting in an immediate fatal crash.
“My uncle was coming from Makurdi yesterday after a crusade. He ran into bandits and, while trying to escape, had an accident and died immediately,” Enemona wrote.
Pastor Ojo had been serving in Dunamis Church at the time of his death. His passing has brought profound grief to his family and local community.
“Rest well, Uncle Pastor Abraham Francis Aduh Ojo,” Enemona added.
