Double Tragedy: Senator Abba Moro Loses Son and Grandson Within Two Days

Senate Minority Leader, Senator Patrick Abba Moro, is mourning the loss of two family members who died within the space of two days. The lawmaker first lost his grandson, followed shortly by the tragic death of his son, Victor.

Victor, who had recently completed his studies in Turkey, had returned to Nigeria to participate in the compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme. He was reportedly involved in a fatal motor accident along the Mararaba axis in Nasarawa State, barely 24 hours after his nephew’s burial.

According to family sources, Victor had left the family home to attend to personal matters when the accident occurred. He was one of Senator Moro’s children from his marriage to Veronica Moro.

The double tragedy has thrown the family and associates of the Benue-born senator into deep mourning.
