Disco Schedules Sunday Blackout Across Parts of Anambra
FirstPower Electricity Distribution Limited has announced a planned power outage across parts of Anambra State. In a notice issued on Friday, the company said the blackout will occur on Sunday between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The interruption is to allow the Transmission Company of Nigeria to move a 60 MVA TR13 transformer into the Onitsha Transmission Station and adjust outgoing feeders to support the upgrade.
The company said the exercise will affect bulk power supply to several locations, including Army Barracks, Awada, Obosi, Umunya, Juddy Bolema, Nnewi Oba, Nnewi Industrial, Ossomala, 3-3, Niccus, Ogidi, as well as the Nwaziki 11 kV and Woliwo 11 kV feeders.
FPEDL urged customers in the impacted areas to take note of the schedule and expressed regret for any inconvenience the outage may cause.
