Dave Umahi’s Brother Marries Ebonyi Governor Nwifuru’s Sister in Grand Traditional Ceremony
A new bond has been sealed between two prominent Ebonyi families as Engineer Silas Umahi, brother of the Minister of Works, David Umahi, wedded Princess Cynthia Rebecca Nwifuru, sister of Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru.
The traditional wedding took place at the palace of His Royal Highness Ezekiel Nwifuru Nwakpu in Oferekpe Agbaja, Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. The ceremony drew family members, political figures, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the union.
Minister Umahi, who shared photos from the ceremony on Facebook, described the marriage as an act of God, revealing that the couple’s relationship began quietly in 2020 before either family was aware of it.
He reflected on his long-standing friendship with Governor Nwifuru, noting that their bond, built on love, trust, and honesty for over 18 years, had now extended to their younger siblings through marriage.
“God indeed has a way of doing things,” Umahi wrote. “Congratulations once again to Silas and Rebecca. May this union continue to grow in love, peace, and divine favor.”
The event not only celebrated love but also symbolized the deepening ties between two of Ebonyi’s most influential families.
