Damagum Roars: PDP Will Bounce Back Stronger in 2027!

In a resolute declaration, the Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Umar Damagum, reaffirmed the party’s commitment to a triumphant return in 2027. Speaking during the reception ceremony honoring Adolphus Wabara, Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees, Damagum instilled confidence in party members, asserting, “With what we are doing, we will come back sound, healthy, and victorious.” He urged resilience in overcoming challenges, heralding an imminent victory.

The ceremony, held in Umuahia, garnered support from notable figures within the party. Governor Peter Mba of Enugu State reminisced about the party’s glory days under Wabara’s leadership, expressing optimism in his ability to rejuvenate the party. Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State echoed Mba’s sentiments, emphasizing the importance of the South East zone and rallying encouragement amidst adversities.

Senator Wabara, in response, hailed the gathering as a beacon of hope for the party’s future, emphasizing unity and resilience. Meanwhile, Governor Alex Otti of Abia State lamented recent security challenges in the region but vowed to address them, reaffirming his commitment to all residents regardless of party affiliation.

Senator Wabara, in his closing remarks, likened the party to a family, assuring cohesion despite challenges. The event saw the presence of Governors Bala Mohammed of Bauchi, Godwin Obaseki of Edo, alongside members of the PDP Board of Trustees and National Working Committee.
