Customs to Closedown Supermarkets in Kano, Jigawa Selling Foreign Rice and other Prohibited Goods
Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has warned supermarkets operating in Kano and Jigawa states against selling foreign rice and other prohibited goods.
In a letter dated 17th February, 2020 marked NCS/KAN/053/S.28 signed by the Customs Area Controller for Kano and Jigawa Command, Compt. A. Nasir and addressed to all supermarkets in the affected states, the Customs Service while citing national interests warned that supermarkets that failed to comply with the warning will be closedown.
