Cousin Kills Cousin in Early Morning Fight
A tragic incident unfolded in the early hours of Wednesday, July 23, 2025, in the Lafia Garage area of North Bank, Makurdi, Benue State, when a 25-year-old man, Abdulraman Rabiu, allegedly stabbed his 35-year-old cousin, Adamu Abubakar, during a heated fight.
According to police sources, the altercation between the two escalated into violence, resulting in Abdulraman allegedly stabbing Adamu. Following the incident, an enraged mob reportedly attacked Abdulraman, inflicting serious injuries before he was rescued by bystanders and taken to Divine Love Hospital in the Low Level area of Makurdi.
Both Abdulraman and the victim were rushed to the same hospital, where Adamu Abubakar was later confirmed dead while receiving medical treatment.
Authorities have confirmed that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further investigation.
