Court Dismisses Bobrisky’s N200m, N1b Lawsuit Against EFCC, National Assembly

A Federal High Court in Lagos has dismissed a fundamental rights suit filed by controversial crossdresser, Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, also known as Bobrisky, against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the National Assembly. Bobrisky had sought N200 million in compensation from the EFCC for alleged psychotic trauma and an additional N1 billion from the National Assembly for violations of his right to a fair hearing. The EFCC’s spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, confirmed the ruling in a statement on Friday, emphasizing that the court had found no grounds for the claims made by Bobrisky.
